Qualifications, professional membership and accreditation.Originally trained at the Minster Centre, I hold a diploma in counselling, and diploma in clinical supervision, and an M.A. in integrative psychotherapy (mixed model), from Middlesex University. My subsequent training and experience has been mostly psychodynamic (which involves and exploration of the unconscious roots of the problems concerned). I am currently on Jungian Analysis training for qualified psychotherapists with the Association of Jungian Analysts (AJA).
I am a professional member of the Association of Group and Individual Psychotherapy (A.G.I.P.), and through them I am registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (U.K.C.P). I am a past member of AGIP's clinical committee.
I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (B.A.C.P.), and a professional member of the Eating Disorders Association.
BUPA RECOGNISED PRACTIONER Fees for individual counselling/psychotherapyThe initial assessment session is Free!!An initial assessment provides us with the opportunity to look at: the problems you are experiencing in the context of your background; whether counselling/ psychotherapy is an appropriate treatment; what other support you might need; and whether we can work together. More than one assessment sessions may be required, and if you should choose to continue past the initial assessment session, subsequent sessions are billed at the agreed fee.
Fees for subequent sessions are on a sliding scale and can be negotiated during your initial assessment.
All sessions are of fifty minutes duration.
All fees are subject to annual review.
Private insurance payments via BUPA are acceptable. This would involve an assessment by a consultant psychiatrist, (a BUPA requirement), which I can arrange.
